The Emir of Gusua in Zamfara State, Ibrahim Bello, has died at the age of 71. Bello passed away on Friday morning in Abuja after a prolonged illness. A statement on Friday by the spokesperson to the governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, Sulaiman Bala Idris, described the monarch's death as a "personal loss."
A former Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Solomon Arase, is dead.He is aged 71 years. Pepper Room reports that Arase, who was born on June 21, 1956, was reported to have died at Cedarcrest Hospital in Abuja on Sunday.
